Can you believe how fast time flies? 3 years ago, our excitement couldn’t be contained when the first lockdown lifted and we were finally able to welcome you through our doors! The triple staircase on top of a gym was our past, and our brand new street level entrance was our future - with our favourite café just a block and a half down the street (The Sydney Grind, of course)!

We can’t believe how many people we’ve welcomed into our chairs who found us on their morning walk because they live in the neighbourhood – we are so grateful for all of the beautiful souls we met because we moved to this beautiful location. It was a wild time for small businesses and we couldn’t have made it through without the support of the community around us – rooting for us from the sidelines! In Salon News…

Don’t be shy - come and book with our Jr Stylist, Kat! She loves performing blonding services for her guests so come on in and book with her to get your new summer hair if you haven’t already! The picture below of the beautiful blonde in the pink tiie-dye shirt is a picture of Kat’s work.

Erin is currently completing her Apprenticeship! She still pops in from time to time so don’t be shocked if you come in for your appointment and she offers you a latte or gives you your shampoo, but from Monday-Friday that is where she is. She got 96% on her first test! We are so excited for her hair journey, and can’t wait to have her back.

Life Lately…

Madison graduated Grade 5 this week! As mentioned above, if Life has made me realize anything lately it’s how fast time flies. She was valedictorian of her class, and we couldn’t be more proud of her. (Scroll down to see an old pic of my from the vault a friend sent me this week from my middle school graduation).We also got to hit up the Barbie exhibit with the family and it was so exciting to see how diimensional the Barbie brand has become over the years, and it was so fun to relive my childhood with the girls.

As I’m sure you’ve all heard me talk about if you’ve been in the salon recently, I officially exited my 30s this week and launched into my 40s – or Level 4 as my dear friend Teo lovingly refers to it. I started the day off at Mildred’s with my family for a stack of pancakes so full of gratitude - I couldn’t be more ready. In the time leading up to it, as I looked back on all the twists and turns that got me here I had to write it all down. Every embarrassing moment, obstacle, laugh, tear, loss, and triumph – I wrote it all down into a special project I’d been working on for years – a book called “Victory Lap”! I can’t wait to share more details about it.

My family and I are gearing up to go to Greece for my 40th birthday this week so I will be out of the salon until Monday July 24! If you need anything, the Elevate fam will be happy to take care of you in my absence. As always, we are just a text or call away.
