New Year, New Projects!
Welcome to 2022... Although it kind of feels like 2020 all over again, no?
Hard to believe we’re back to this "stage" of life. I must say, I really enjoyed having somewhat of a life again and going out for dinner and watching movies. It really teaches you to not take things for granted. Who would ever think a theatre that you could choose to go to at any time of day while enjoying a bucket of popcorn would literally be taken from you? Going for lunch with a friend on your day off? GONE. Having family over for a birthday party? NOPE.
It really teaches you that life can change in an instant and we should really learn to enjoy the smallest moments. But, here we are and if you're reading this, you're alive and well (I hope).
Let’s go into this year with an understanding that even though the circumstances around us may not be in our control, we can choose to be at peace. We can choose to be happy and grateful.
This year, I choose peace.
This year, I choose happiness.
This year, I choose presence.
This year, I choose to have a strong YES and a firm NO.
This year, I choose to keep my energy aligned with what serves ME!
Some may see that as selfish, but if I’m not showing up as my best self, what good will that be to the ones I love around me?
Speaking of which, I have finally moved past my fears and started Elevate: The Podcast!
If you followed along with me in 2021, you might have remembered "The Hot Seat" Podcast with the Shear Therapy ladies. After months of working on it, we came to the realization that I was the only one who had the burning passion for it so the girls encouraged me to continue my mission solo, and here I am. I have removed the ceiling I built above me and began to create!
This podcast comes from all of you. It has always been my mission that when a client sits in my chair, to make them feel beautiful – inside and out. With every visit, I give myself wholeheartedly to each and every one of you. This podcast is a reflection of that. I’m taking everyday struggles, triumphs, heartaches, love stories, etc... that we can all relate to and turn them into real and deep conversations. I want to create more than just a hair salon; I want to create a community, a place of support where all are welcome.
